My Story
Hi, I’m Jodi, a Graduate Student and Intern at Roots & Resilience Wellness. I am currently pursuing my Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University. I have a background working with children and adolescents, as well as acting as a supervisor for students at MIT. More recently I have gained experience working with adults in the field of substance use and addiction recovery.
I firmly believe that every challenge that we face is an opportunity for growth if we are adequately supported. I am here to help you learn how to breathe through your difficult times and provide non-judgmental, compassionate care. Through exploring your own inner landscape, you become capable of realizing your potential. I think creatively and tailor my approach to your needs. As a former yoga instructor, thinking holistically informs my practice, as I believe that mental health extends to include mind, body, and spiritual well-being.
I aim to empower clients through familiarizing them with coping skills using mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy.
