My Story
Kristin Reinheimer is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student at Capella University who is completing her final year of clinical training. She is excited to join Roots and Resilience Wellness for her practicum and internship, where she will work with children, teens, and adults under the clinical supervision of Nicole Serini, LMHC-D.
Before entering the counseling profession, Kristin spent more than 15 years as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Her work in veterinary medicine has given her the opportunity to support individuals and families through grief, loss, crisis, and difficult life decisions. These experiences have taught her the importance of listening without judgment, meeting people where they are, and offering compassion during life’s most challenging moments.
Kristin’s approach to counseling is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy through a person-centered lens. She believes therapy is most meaningful when clients feel safe, heard, respected, and genuinely understood. She aims to ensure that clients feel empowered in their own growth. She is committed to continuing to grow as a clinician and creating a supportive environment through individualized care that honors each client’s unique experiences, strengths, values, and goals while incorporating evidence-based interventions that support meaningful change.
Kristin is honored to continue developing her clinical skills at Roots and Resilience Wellness and looks forward to building genuine connections with clients and supporting them as they navigate their individual paths towards
